Hybrid products provide the best of both worlds, wet and dry cooling, in a single compact and cost-effective unit. The hybrid products offered by BAC provide low process temperatures while optimizing energy and water efficiency.
Up to 70% Water savings using WET/DRY cooling technology
Process inlet fluid is pre-cooled using a dry finned coil and discharge air. The process then passes over the spray wetted coil for the complete cooling solution.
Dry cooling section:
The dry cooling coil is located over the top of the unit and uses discharge air to pre-cool the process thereby reducing the heat load rejected by evaporation. Water usage is dramatically reduced.
Ability to operate in DRY mode:
Water use is only needed during hot summer months when dry cooling only is not enough. As ambient temperatures increase, spray water can be switched on or off to augment the cooling requirements as needed. Typically a dry switchover temperature can be specified at which point the equipment will be able to achieve the design condition with no water required.
